What is the most Frequently Asked Questions?
About using a professional makeup and hair artist.
They're all listed below!

  • What if I cry my eyes out at the altar? Or if it’s 100 degrees and humid? Or if my lips get a little dry from chatting so much at cocktail hour? Or if I get really sweaty on the dance floor?
With our signature Bridal Beauty Collections, we’re with you the whole time to take care of any touch-ups or last minute issues. Just like a celebrity would have her glam squad with her to fix her makeup at the Oscars, we’ll be there to make sure you look your best the entire day.
  • I’ve done other bridal makeup trials and HATED it. What makes you different?
Unfortunately, a lot of makeup artists charge a hefty fee for a makeup trial and don’t really listen to what the bride wants, leaving them worried about how they’ll look on their wedding day. We don’t do your typical “makeup trial.” Instead, we do a strategy session. We talk about your skin type, your skincare routine, your makeup likes and dislikes, your bridal inspiration, and more. We then do a bridal preview, where we take all of that into account to do a test run for your wedding day makeup, taking copious photos so when the wedding day comes we’re able to perfectly recreate it.
  • I love your services, but still need a hairstylist. Can you recommend someone?
Absolutely, we have been doing do both hair and makeup for over 15 years.
  • How do I schedule an appointment?
You can book an appointment with our team by filling out the inquiry form on our contact page. Please provide your wedding date, getting ready location and time you would like to be ready by. • Do you come to my bridal suite, or do I need to drive to a salon?
For all our services, from the glam strategy session and bridal makeup preview to the morning of your wedding day, we come to you.
  • Do you work out of a salon or do you provide in-room service? Do you have travel fees?
We are a on-location style team which means that we travel to you! The last thing you want to be doing on your wedding day is to fight traffic, get lost driving around, and feel rushed and stressed. That is why we take all the anxiety out of your day by showing up on location with all the tools and product so that you can relax and enjoy a day of pampering and feeling like a celebrity. Our mandatory standard 15 miles for free and then we charge .90/cents per mile. There may also be additional early morning fees and holiday fees.
  • My mom wants me to have a classic look for church, but I’m dying for a sexy smoky eye look. What should I do?
With our Full Service Gold Collection, we’re able to give two unique makeup looks for your wedding day. Want to keep the same look all day? No worries - we do a major touch-up before the reception starts to refresh that morning’s initial application.
  • Can you do my bridal shower/engagement shoot/rehearsal dinner makeup also?
Our brides are beauty-obsessed and want to look their best at every milestone event. With our Full Service Collection, you get a bridal preview, an additional makeup session with us for any of your other wedding events, and your wedding day makeup. Brides usually opt to do our strategy session/bridal preview on the day of their engagement party or engagement shoot, and the additional session before their bridal shower or bachelorette party.
  • Do you do airbrush makeup and what is the difference between airbrush and regular foundation?
We offer airbrush makeup to all of our clients and cannot say enough about it. Seattle weather is always changing. It can go from being hot, to humid, to torrential downpour and often this means conventional makeup can easily melt off. We find airbrush makeup to be very effective for long-lasting, sweat-proof, transfer resistant, semi-matte finish. It is also effective in covering pigmentation and scarring with medium to full coverage without a heavy application. Some brides have had bad experience with airbrush in the past and are turned off thinking they will have a thick face of makeup made for TV Reporters. This is simply not the case in how we apply our product. In fact, most brides agree that airbrush makeup is actually less thick than what they wear on a daily basis and are pleasantly surprised with its durability and natural skin-like appearance. Airbrush makeup is a great choice for almost every bride and we highly recommend it for the best results.
  • Can you handle everyone in my Bridal party if they're all different nationalities?
With years of experience and a keen eye for subtleties, we confidently approach any skin tone and ethnicity. Brides often choose Hawaii for their destination wedding, this means as Maui makeup artists we have to be diverse in our style skillsets. Read our reviews, we come highly recommended by Asian brides, African American Brides, Latina Brides, Filipina Brides, Indian Brides, and all women of color from every continent!
  • Can I add on services day of?
We are always happy to accommodate add-ons on day of if time permits. All we ask is that the women who are contracted and scheduled be serviced first.
  • What products do you have in your kits?
Let us first start this conversation by admitting that we have a problem. We are cosmetic junkies, addicts, hoarders, call it what you will, we are obsessed with all things beauty. This means that our kits are overflowing with products from every cosmetic line. We have what you would call ‘hero’ products which could mean a highlighter pen from Yves St. Laurent, or a certain pigment from NARS. What we can say is that all of our products are high-end, tried and true, and are used for the very specific purpose of creating a long-lasting beauty. Since we do have significant training and experience by MAC cosmetics, we do carry a lot of their eyeshadows and powder products and love their lipsticks. Other favorite brands we use are Tom Ford, Natasha Denona, Fenty, Charlotte Tilbury, Temptu, Urban Decay, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Bite, Laura Mercier, Becca, NARS, YSL, Benefit, Hourglass, Makeup Forever, Too-Faced, Tarte, and Marc Jacobs to name a few.
  • I have frizzy, curly, and/or African American hair. How should I prep my hair?
For frizzy or curly hair types, we recommend a blow out prior to styling. This will help smooth and seal the cuticle for a long lasting style. Please let our team know if you will be needing this service prior to styling. For African American hair, we may recommend a silk press or press and curl prior to styling. Although we don't provide either of these services, we can definitely refer you to some amazing hairstylist that you can go to prior.
  • COVID Handling
I will be taking Covid precautions extremely serious. Please review this link to all the information that will be included in how we will be handling makeup sanitation and standards that my team and I will be following. https://themakeupstandard.org/index.php/service/makeup-artist-sanitation-standard
  • My friends and family need to look amazing too. Can you do my whole bridal party?
We specialize in cohesive bridal party makeup looks that compliment the bride and the whole vibe of the wedding. You can either choose a cohesive look for the entire party or let them have their own style. This is completely up to you.
  • What if people in my Bridal party have different lifestyles?
We will always accommodate and makeup sure to include everyone. Without judgement. I don't call it a marriage between same sex couples, I call it a marriage. Period!
